On May 25, 2027, we will celebrate twenty-five years of marriage, and it still amazes us that the story started in a first grade classroom. We were two children who had no idea what they were looking at, but look at us now!

There is something beautiful about the math of this year. We were married on the 25th, we are celebrating 25 years, and we are both turning 50. Twenty-five plus twenty-five equals fifty, and it feels like God wrote that on purpose. In Scripture, the number 25 carries the idea of grace upon grace, five multiplied by five, favor stacked on favor. And 50 is the number of Jubilee, the year the trumpet sounds, debts are released, and what was lost is restored. Leviticus 25 is the very chapter that tells us to consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land. So this is not just an anniversary. This is our Jubilee.

God has bound us together with His three strand cord; a cord that’s not quickly broken. He held on to us when we could barely hold on to each other, and He is the reason we are still here, still choosing one another. Twenty-five years in, we call this our Royal Love Affair (uhusiano wa kimapenzi wa kifalme).

We love to travel together. Every trip teaches us something new as we keep discovering each other all over again. That is why we are so glad you will embark on this next destination with us. We are celebrating our silver anniversary and our fiftieth year in Cape Town, South Africa, and having you there means the world to us. You have prayed for us, laughed with us, and stood by us through the years, so it feels right to mark this Jubilee surrounded by the people who helped us get here. Come ready for good food, good stories, and a whole lot of gratitude.

With all our love,

Angie and Rod!

Welcome to our Royal Love Affair
